Afternoon Shift Supervisor
An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Supervisor to join a successful medical manufacturing organisation. Defries Industries, an Australian owned family business established in 1981, requires an additional Supervisor for our Dandenong South manufacturing facility.
Working within Class ISO 8 Cleanroom, you will be responsible for ensuring activities are supervised in accordance with the company’s policies, Quality Management System, Good Manufacturing Practices and OH&S requirements. You will also be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of a designated shift across a single/multiple production line and providing supervision and direction to a small/large team. Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Assigning Cleanroom resources to specific tasks
- Ensuring RDO roster[CB1] is followed
- Delegation of responsibilities to Cleanroom Staff to achieve Manufacturing schedule
- Ensuring communication between shifts is maintained
- Reporting to the Production Manager on current manufacturing status including resource requirements
- Reporting identified non-conformances to the Quality Department.
To be successful in this role you will need to possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise and resolve issues in a systematic and methodical manner. You will need to have a common sense approach with good attention to detail.
Previous experience in a supervisory role is essential, preferably within a medical or food manufacturing environment along with the ability to develop effective working relationships with the confidence to provide direction to others.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone with a great attitude who can work effectively as part of a team, who is flexible and eager to learn.
Salary range between $47K-$59K depending on shift, plus RDO, Super and annual bonus.
