Choice of Fabric
At Defries we use different types of drape fabric
PE Film is a poly-ethylene material that is completely impervious and is used in our plastic drape range.
Poly backed Drapes are a 3 ply cotton top layer and a waterproof plastic backing. Soft and low linting, ideal for catheter and minor ward procedures.
SMS is an excellent all-purpose fabric that is cost-effective and ideal for simple procedures. It offers a sheer resistance with water repellent features.
Azure drapes use a viscose impervious fabric with a polyethylene laminate, suitable for short procedures with minimal fluid. This bi-laminate range includes the Azure minor procedure drapes.
Airlaid fabric features excellent high absorbency and is designed specifically for the Angiography and Cath Lab procedures.
Sapphire fabric is chosen for our back table covers, mayo stand covers and some specialized drapes, this is a versatile super-absorbent fabric which provides excellent barrier protection.
Aqua drapes are our newest drape range available and use a bi-laminate or tri-laminate fabric with extra reinforcement. The tri-laminate fabric is soft to touch, whilst offering the superior protection of great absorbency from fabric reinforcement, fluid containment built-in pouches, positioning tape and incise area. The bi-laminate range includes back table covers & mayo covers, whilst the tri-laminate range are our drape sheets, universal packs and specialty procedure drapes. We can also offer bespoke designed drapes to meet specific customer requirements using this fabric.
Aqua HD is a superior version of the Aqua - designed for specialized drapes and Universal Packs, and offers full protection whilst still cost-effective.
Supreme drapes are our ultimate tri-laminate fabric. They are specifically designed for high-level performance and offer a high level of protection. The Supreme range includes drape sheets and specialty procedure drapes.
